Adventure In Missions started a new program this past month
called World Race Exposure. It is
a trip that allows 18-22 year olds a chance to join a World Race team for one
month. It gives them an
opportunity to see how the World Race community functions so they can decide if
they are interested in going on a World Race in the future.
Myself along with Emily Simpson, Amy Book and Brian Swanson
were chosen as the host for the new racers. We met them at the airport when they arrived in Nairobi and
conducted an orientation in an effort to prepare them for their month.
My team also had the pleasure of having Lynsey join our
team. She is from Pittsburg, PA
and just finished her sophomore year in college. It was so great to have another perspective after the rest
of us have been traveling together for the past 5 months. I’m going to miss Lynsey so much.
At the end of the month, Brian Swanson and I traveled back
to Nairobi to conduct a debrief with the participants. It was a good time of reflection and
they all grew so much in one month.
God used their teammates, country hosts and the trip to change and
prepare them for the future he has for each and every one of them. I’m excited to see all the things they
will do for his kingdom back in the USA.
Below is a video I put
together with some of their favorite pictures from the month.
