I can't wait to begin this journey with everyone! So I guess this is where you would like to know a little bit more about me! This will only give you a glimpse, but if you ever want to know more, just friend me on Facebook, shoot me an email,
text my cell, hit me up on Skype,
or hey lets just grab coffee and talk in person!

I think I like that last option best!

 The Snapshot
  • My full name is John-David Corwin Russell. What the heck were my parents thinking giving me 4 names? Don't worry, I made it easy for you. You can just call me JD!
  • My birthday is February 15th, 1986. Is there anything special about turning 24? I'll let you know when I find out.
  • My hometown is Duluth, GA, but I have also lived in North Carolina, Florida, England, Spain, Honduras, Nicaragua, and most recently Missouri. (Bet you didn't guess that last one would be on there! God kind of sneaked that one up on me!)
  • My mom, Elyse, is my biggest supporter and cheerleader, and I would not be where I am today without her.
  • My dad, John, is probably the one who first gave me a love to travel. He loves it so much that he and his wife, Linda, decided to up and move to Auckland, New Zealand a year ago! (I love it cause now my home away from home is an international destination!)
  • My brother, Brent, is 3 years younger than me and he is studying Marketing at Kennesaw State University.
  • I played varsity soccer and tennis in high school at Providence Christian Academy, graduating in 2004. I also received as my high school superlative, Most Laid Back. (So basically, I love to go with the flow, kick back and take it easy!)
  • I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, home of the Bulldogs. Goooo dawgs! Sic 'em! Woof woof woof woof!!!!!!
  • I graduated in 2008 with a degree in International Affairs (Let me tell you what 4 years of college has taught me, Politics can't solve anything! Only Jesus!), and I also have a minor in Spanish (¿Quieres hablar español conmigo?).
  • Right after college I spent the summer working at a school and orphanage in Siguatepeque, Honduras called Destino del Reino. (¡Los extraño esos niños!)
  • My first experience with AIM was a 9 month trip in Granada, Nicaragua from Sept. 2008 – May 2009, known as the First Year Missionary Program (¡Este país es muy tuani, tienes que visitarlo!).
  • I just finished doing the One Thing Internship at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri. I pursued the Lord wholeheartedly for 6 months with 70 other interns from July – Dec. 2009, and it quite possibly could be the most amazing experience I have ever had! (Where my Otterz at? Where my Otterz at? What,What?)
