Well, it’s been about a week since getting back from training camp with 200 amazing radicals for Jesus in the backwoods of Georgia, and let me tell you, it was one of the most intense and fulfilling weeks of my life! Days consisted of early morning exercises with our squad, personal quiet times with the Lord, eating exotic foods from around the world, practicing different cultural customs, doing team building challenges, listening to heart-gripping teaching, worshiping Jesus till I lost my voice, getting to know my new teammates on a deeper level, prophesying over each other, cooking meals for my team over an open fire using axes and shovels as cooking utensils (quite a hilarious site!), swimming across a lake while holding a log over my head, competing in outrageous olympic events (I never knew marshmallows and brooms were used in the olympics), camping outside under the stars, interceding for orphans and prostitutes, and showing love to the homeless in Atlanta.
A majority of our time was spent in this pavilion area and throughout the week the floor of the place seemed to be the epicenter of where all my emotions converged. I would simply lie down drenched with sweat after 3 hours of dancing and worship; be bleeding cause I ended up falling on the floor from playing a physically interactive ice-breaker game with my team; be sprawled out on the ground laughing uncontrollably because the Joy of the Lord came upon me; or end up weeping in the middle of a puddle of tears and snot because of crying out for the victims of human trafficking.
It was definitely a week I will never forget and one that will forever impact the rest of my life!
