My Jesus is faithful! I am so incredibly blessed that God called me and is using me here in this place. He is a faithful God and He calls us to partner with Him which is so cool. We can partner with God and let Him use us to accomplish His plans. I have grown so much in a love for this country and these people here. They are so full of joy! I am one week into my month here in Cambodia. I am living at a home for kids called New Hope for Orphans. Here we get to teach kids English and build relationships with the 25 kids that live here.
I have been reflecting on God’s faithfulness recently because God called me to this country of Cambodia in September of this past year. God has completed a promise He gave me 10 months ago and has grown me through it all. He called me, led me to this trip and this team even though I had no idea how I was going to go to Cambodia. He also was so faithful with providing the funds for me to get here and spend my summer overseas. It has been so special to see how God has brought this all to completion. I am in Cambodia! He is a promise keeping God! He is faithful. So believe for the hard things. Pray and seek His face because He is so worthy of it! Believe for the dreams that God places in your heart even if they are incredibly big because He is more than we can ask or imagine and they are not just our dreams they are His dreams and He just includes us in it because He loves us and wants to use us! I have also been learning that God can do so much in and through the lives of people who simply say yes to what God wants to do. He can do things that are are so much bigger than we can even dream about.
“Righteousness will be His belt and faithfulness the sash around His waist“ Isaiah 11:5
Here is a poem that I wrote recently that I thought that I would include :). It is called Free Falling.
I am in love, love, love
With my King who conquered death.
He calls me to trust
Even when my eyes can’t see
Even when it is hard
Even when it requires uncertainty and vulnerability.
I wring my hands
I pray anxiously.
“Is this your voice Lord?”
“Yes-Go” is His reply.
What will I do?
What can I do?
I am all in
There is nothing better
Than a full surrender
So I don’t hesitate
I will follow
I go to the cliff
…and I jump
Jump into the unknown and uncertain.
Where my feet are not on solid ground.
But here I am falling
Down, down, down
To what? Who knows
I’m free falling!
Leaving my cares and worries behind
I am free free falling!
Hope in Jesus turns to trust with every yes
Every bold yes to Him
Who am I you ask?
I am a daughter and I am brave
I am so deeply in love that I am free falling.
Into the unknown
But Jesus is there.
To catch me and pull me closer.
Closer to His heart
I am free falling.
