I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here in Thailand this past month and help work at Agape Home. Agape Home is a place for kids infected or affected by HIV to live and be loved. Many of the kids here have been abandoned, some have been abused or neglected, and many were born to parents who are only teenagers themselves. While we were there my team and I, were able to do some work projects around the property including: painting inside a house, cleaning and organizing rooms, scrubbing floors, taking down ceiling tiles and insulation, playing and swimming with the preschool aged children, as well as holding and feeding babies. The love of Father God is so real and incredible that sometimes it just leaves me speechless with such thankfulness in my heart. Agape is a word that describes the unconditional sacrificial love of our Father God and I got to see that this month as I got to love and build relationships with the kids and learn more and more about the love God has for me. God is in the business of restoring lives and He is doing that here outside Chiang Mai with Agape House as well as around the world.

Things that I have been learning about myself and God

I love living in intentional community. I love intimacy with Jesus. I hear Jesus’ voice and I am confident. Jesus is a friend. We are all on a journey and an adventure with Holy Spirit. I need to take intentional time to be still and rest in the Lord’s presence. I am enough and sometimes ministry looks simply like planting seeds. Jesus is worth surrendering everything for. I can be content with Jesus anywhere. I don’t need material possessions to satisfy me.

Gratitudes:

I am grateful that God allows us to be apart of the story He is writing and that He will use us. I am grateful for Agape House and for the little kids who touched my heart this month (Chanaradee and Natthathida especially). I am grateful for adoption and that some of these kids will be adopted and will get a family. I am grateful that God has given me a passion for adoption and a heart that desperately longs for all children to be loved and have a family and especially for my future children I will adopt. I am grateful for the opportunities I have in life, the fact I am pursuing a college degree, and my family that has taught me so much and supported and encouraged me. I am grateful for Jesus and growing in deeper intimacy with Him this month. I am grateful for how far He has brought me in this journey following after Him and how I am desperate for more of Him. I am grateful for those who are praying for me and have donated to help me get here. I am grateful that I am in the nations serving God. I am grateful for the Thai people and their kindness. I am grateful that have a relationship with Jesus. I am grateful for God teaching me who I am and that He has a plan for me in the future that is going to have an impact for the Kingdom. I am grateful for love. I am grateful for Holy Spirit. I am grateful that God has called me to this trip. I am grateful for my teammates. And I am grateful for much, much more.

Prayer Requests:

That God would continue to use us and teach us more about Himself

That the people of Thailand and Cambodia will know Jesus as Lord and Savior and that they will be set free!

That Agape House will be blessed and that those kids will know the love of Father God.

Safety in traveling to Cambodia.

That my team and I would fall more in love with Jesus everyday and that we would increase our trust and dependence on Him.

That this team would have a lasting impact on my life and the lives of my teammates for when we return to the States.

I wanted to share some pictures with you all of what we have been doing.
