Hey guys my name is Jayvon Oliver but no one ever says that right so you can just call me Jay!

First we’ll get the small talk out of the way; I am a senior in high school, I play football and run track, I am currently learning how to play guitar and just recently entered the World Race. Yep. that’s me. Now let’s get down to the more interesting stuff.. Missions was never an option for me. Even until recent it not once crossed my mind because regardless of the meaning and purpose of them they never really interested me. I’ll admit to anyone that pretty much my entire life (even growing up in church sleeping under the pews in the sanctuary) life has always been about me, me, me. Until now, I had my plans and my life and everything planned out. God has a funny sense of humor on how he can change that with the snap of his fingers. Now the World Race is something I’ve never been so passionate about. Looking back on who I was a year ago and honestly even a few months ago i thank God that he does have a sense of humor because where I’m hopefully about to end up versus where I was is crazy enough for me to fathom. I’m excited to share this journey with all of my racers and people helping me and following me on this journey. Now, with that out of the way, let’s get going!
