Chivalry is DEAD! This is something you hear in today’s generation A LOT. I looked up the definition of what chivalry means and it’s not the first thing you think about. It is the combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, especially courage, honor, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak. Chivalry is not just about helping women. There is much more to it that you think. Open your eyes and your hearts to the people around you. Someone is struggling with something, but instead you are to fixed on your own life to know and understand what they are going through. It is about time that I start to stand up and have the courage to step out on faith and do these things. Same goes for you as well. Jesus didn’t stay to himself. He walked with eleven to twelve men for a while and lead them. He taught them what courage is like. When Jesus knew of what the Pharisees were up to; he continued. Jesus was constantly healing and helping those that are weak. Be honest with yourself… are you weak? I am. I once thought that I can do it all on my own. I thought I controlled my life. Seriously though, Jesus is ready to help me even though he doesn’t have to. Jesus is ready to help you as well. You just must ask him.
As men, we put this idea in our heads that we must only help women. Honestly, it’s not our job. Yes, we are told to be the protector and provider for the family, but you can’t do it alone. Most of us have the courtesy part down but we are still missing part. Make God the number one priority of your life and he will lead you in the way of protecting and providing. Really, they are God’s chosen to protect. He has them wrapped around with his arms keeping them safe. But the part we are missing is empowering. We need women around just as much as they need us. Let’s be honest… as a guy we can do some pretty stupid things and women are there to make sure that we don’t kill ourselves. The first people around Jesus at the tomb was women. They became the first evangelists after his death and resurrection. Women are capable of more than how we have portrayed them. Jesus knew they were meant for more than what men give them credit for now. Jesus is the real definition of what a man and chivalry looks like.
Get this in your head. There is more to chivalry, than what we think it is. I’m going to give you an example. A couple days ago, I went to the store with some of my fellow teammates to get some things. I’ve been wanting juice for so long, so I got some. Well, as we were walking back this guy, my guess is homeless, was asking for food and a drink. So… I stopped in a C U (kind of like a gas station in America) and went in and bought him some chips and a drink. Turns out he’d rather have the juice that I bought for myself rather than taking the water I got him. Instead of putting the water down and walking away I gave him the juice instead. You need to be on the lookout for moments where you can help. Take the step of faith and do something about it. In the end, God sees what you are doing and will bring blessings upon you.
It’s time to be the knights that God has called us to be. Don’t accept the worlds view on chivalry. Know that Jesus is a noble man. Ask God to open your hearts and your eyes to the world around you. I promise you that he will start to show you things that you would never expect. Go and ask someone how they are doing and don’t stop there. Continue a conversation with them. Eventually, as they see that you care for them, they will open to you. Don’t be afraid to ask.

Fundraising…
I am looking for people to be monthly donators towards this trip. Any amount works but I encourage you that the minimum is at least 25 dollars but if that is not possible it is okay. Now I am looking at for three more months. But if I don’t reach deadlines it will continue until I do. If you decide to be a monthly giver, I will keep you updated. Send you pictures of what’s going on. Maybe if I have other funds be able to send you items. You guys are incredible. God is about to open so many doors for you and me. I thank you for your prayers and support to help me on this trip.
