I want to thank everyone for helping me get to the first deadline. 🙂 This is your journey just as much as it is mine. The next goal is by July 18 of 10,000$. With your help and prayers we should be there in no time. I want to encourage you to help spread this blog around for more people to join our journey. Besides the update, my team and I will be moving to China on our next stop.
What amazes me on these trips is who we will be meeting with. In China, a little over half the population has no religious background. Keep in mind that China’s population is 1,390,691,000 as of 2018. Even though we will be around Christians (5% of the population), the biggest impact that will have on me is being around those of other beliefs or no beliefs. Having the experience of working with people from different cultures brings a new perspective to one’s eyes.
China’s topography varies greatly from one of the highest places to one of the lowest places on Earth. From impenetrable mountainous terrain to coastal lowlands, and from dry, desertlike conditions to tropical monsoon, we will be dealing with different climates in one country. China even has the greatest contrast in temperature between the northern and southern areas.
It’ll be interesting to see all the history China offers based on what you read from a textbook in school. There is so much to learn from being in different countries like China. I am looking forward to learning from the people about what it is like to be a Christian living in China, etc.
