Markets and pad food
And monks and a street band
All of this we saw
When we arrived in Thailand
We went out exploring
And learned a lot about each other
We’ve loved and we’ve laughed
And often annoyed one another
The stories we’ve told
And all the fun facts
Have brought so much embarrassment
From the questions Nathan’s asked
Chailey threw up
And Tori had a cough
Mac uses strange words
Like jaunt, slaps, and quaf
So much tea
And coffee has been consumed
And Carol is wild and funny
Which keeps us all amused
Sometimes when Ellie works
She puts on a show
Also Nathan is homeschooled
Dang…. low blow
Jayci’s a hard worker
Always comes out with the win
Seems to be the best at what she does
Even with an identical twin
Tonight, Carly, Kayla, and I went out to eat
And I really got to know em
Though I wasn’t really listening
Cause I was working on this poem
We’ve left so much behind
Friends and families we’ve missed
Though we kinda got distracted
By the elephants we kissed
We painted and scrubbed
And moved boxes into stacks
I’m not gonna talk about the bathroom
Cause man that jank was whack
The kids at Agape
Are far more than we could ask for
And their smiles and laughs
Go straight down to our core
I wanna take a moment
And thank God for this team
I love them to death
Even as weird as they may seem
They bring a smile to my face
With all the joy they each bring
We grow closer to God and each other
With the worship that we sing
God did a great thing
When He brought us together
And we will thank and praise Him for it
No matter what kind of weather
We are halfway through
The first month of this race
And I think I can speak for us all
When I say “We love this place.”
So two weeks down
And we’ve had the best of times
But it’s time for me to stop talking
Cause I’ve run out of rhymes.
