Are you crazy? Do you hear voices? I hope so! The bible describes on many
occasions people who blessed with this gift. No, there isn't a typo there,
it really does say gift. Back when I was living out the events which were
later written as my testimony, I was not very interested in knowing or
understanding anything about God which I hadn't experienced for myself. The
whole miracles thing was a fallacy to me. Who actually has cancer disappear
from there body, or has a dead man walk back into the house and sit with
his family? Who for real sees things before they happen or hears a voice
from the heavens? Crazy right?! Those things are just things of the bible.
God doesn't do crazy stuff anymore…
I am sorry to the person this affects the most, because you know who you
are. In the west we find any way we can to explain away why God doesn't do
miracles anymore. One of the best explanations I ever heard, which I was
foolish enough to believe for a while, will likely make many of you
consider what you believe. In Genesis, God has written He created the
universe in six days and then on the seventh day He rested. If we were to
take this literally as a 24 hour day, then we would take the entire bible
timeline literally and our universe would only be about 6,200 years old.
But think of it like this, our 24 hour day is based on mans observation of
the solar system, ergo the rising and setting of the sun and moon. However
when God was creating the universe, there weren't stars and moons and
planets, there wasn't rising and setting or 365 1/4 day orbits, not yet. So
how could there be a literal 24 hour day yet? The more accurate translation
from the original text says God created the universe and everything in it
over six periods of time. Then God rested for a seventh period of time. So,
since these miracles don't happen anymore and we don't see the
manifestation of God all around us, wouldn't it just make sense God was
still resting? A day to man is 24 hours, but how long is a day to God? He
must still be resting, which is enough of an explanation to be comfortable
with how much most of us believe in Gods Almighty power.
There is the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis also. Here was a man
who was blessed by God with the ability to hear Gods voice and interpret
the meanings of dreams. This not only made a lot of trouble for Joseph it
also saved his life from time to time. Because Joseph was willing to
continue seeking God and was fully submissive to Gods authority, God
blessed Joseph greatly. Joseph was unfailing in his obedience to God.
Joseph had such a presence of God with him, people could recognize this
simply by speaking with him. In Genesis 41:37-57, God has given us the
record of events of the day when the Pharaoh of Egypt saw plainly the gifts
which Joseph possessed. On this day, Pharaoh recognized these gifts were
not magic or sorcery, but truly the power of God Almighty. Also Pharaoh
gave Joseph a new name in Egyptian-Arabic. His new name was
Zephenath-peneah, which means, God speaks and lives.
Though I may not be able to interpret dreams or speak in tongues, God has
given me the ability to hear His voice. The first time I heard His voice I
was living in my truck and God said, "Follow me." Crazy right?! Well, after
being completely freaked out and totally confused, I went on with my life.
A few months later God spoke to me again and said, "Follow me, I have a
place for you. I will show you were your home is." Yet again, I continued
my life. Finally God said to me, "Leave your job and leave your fathers
house. Give up everything. Follow me to the ends of the earth. I have
prepared a home for you. Trust in me and I will take you there. *Ask me and
I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come."
Because God showed me He is not still resting and spoke these words very
clearly through the atmosphere, I am sitting in Malaysia writing this. I
can hear Gods voice, I know He is real and alive, but I had a hard time
accepting demons and the spiritual world when I was in the west where those
things are explained away with our God. But day 3…read it again, DAY 3!!!
of the world race I was faced with casting out a demon which I wasn't sure
I believed was real to begin with (reference blog "Casting Out Demons…All
Before Lunch"). Nonetheless, our God is so great He has given revelation
upon revelation and word after word.
God is here! God Speaks And Lives!! God is not resting, nor is He on
vacation, lost in space, only in southeast Asia or sitting in heaven trying
to figure out how He used to do those dern miracles. God still does the
crazy stuff; blind can see, deaf can hear, once dead are now living and
demons are sent back to the pits of hell from whence they came when we
believe and call on His Almighty name. Here where those things are not
explained away, God makes it very clear when He walks into the room to
fight the spirit of darkness which had been hanging around waiting for your
moment of weakness. Beyond His presence, He will make sure you get a good
look at the demon or spirit before He banishes it to hell. God wants to
make sure when we all return to the west, we see how bright and beautiful
the demons are which we live with everyday. Are you ready for the terrible
