What's up everyone?! So, it has been and interesting week and a half since I last blogged. I have finally put my fundraising letters in the mail (well, actually that will be first thing in the morning). Today I presented my mission to the entire congregation at my church. There is something different about standing in front of a group of people that you have known for half your life and talking one on one with people that makes telling your story a little more difficult. Maybe it is just me, but I still have a hard time putting all the words together to tell a group of people and not sound a like a 3 year old who just took cough medicine. In small groups or one on one I do great. Funny thing is that when I was in high school, presentations in front of a group were easy and that one on one stuff sucked. But I guess if that is proof that I am not who I once was, that is a change I think I can live with. Yesterday my brother and I went to a local brewery with a friend and did a beer tasting. That was pretty awesome. And friday night we had a lock in for the youth groups at one of our sister churches. That was pretty awesome too except I only slept for like 45 minutes. Hence the title of the blog. That made the rest of this weekend a little more difficult. I had a really great week at work this week, finally had a week with over 40 hours. And things are looking really good at the job for the future. Anyways, I guess I will have to keep praying that the rest of my support letters will find the right people and that God will call them to join us in our mission. I have handed out about 60 letters so far and I have another 60 being mailed out in the morning. I think I counted about 25 more that I have to get addresses for and then mail those out. Oh…random thought…lucky for you, you get to read my random thought. This was completely unintentional but I just thought about what time of year it is and when people will be getting these support letters from me. It is tax time and people will be doing taxes and getting refunds and thinking about how they can improve their taxes for next year. Kind or perfect, kind of mean, but completely unintentional. Alrighty then, I think it is time to get ready for a new fun filled, and busy work week. I'll be back soon folks and hopefully I will have lots of good news for you guys.
As He leads me,
Jason
