In Exodus 3, God speaks to an outcast who is working as a lowly shepherd. God calls this outcast, named Moses, to deliver God’s people out of bondage in Egypt and lead them to freedom. This is an enormous task that God places before him. How does Moses respond?
He says, “Mi Anoki“.
In 1 Samuel 18, the King of God’s people, King Saul, offers his eldest daughter to marry a young shepherd boy. This young shepherd boy, named David, is going to be called by God to become the greatest king that the world has ever seen. If that task isn’t colossal enough, God also promises that the Savior of the human race, Jesus Christ, will be born through his lineage. How does David respond?
He says, “Mi Anoki.”
In Matthew 8:18-20, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:47, John 4:34-38, and Acts 1:8, God has called Christians to a great task. God has called Christians to share the Gospel, the good news, throughout all the Earth! He used these four verses to call me to take the gospel and share it across 11 countries. What is my response?
I say, “Mi Anoki.”
Mi Anoki is Hebrew for “Who am I.” By definition, it is the acceptance of a great honor or privilege while acknowledging one’s unworthiness. God has called me to share His love across 11 countries for 11 months. I ask Him, “Who am I?” because this is a task that is bigger than I am and more than I deserve. Moses and David were presented with an impossible task, yet God called them to do it. He equipped them and carried them through. I am not, by any means, comparing myself to either Moses or David. Their lives and ministries were legendary! What I am sharing, is that the same God that called them and carried them through, is calling me to the Worldrace. So please, partner with me as I experience God through this task. Share this article, so it may be an encouragement to someone. Pray for my team, as we have answered a call and are preparing for a mission greater than our selves. Message me, Lord knows I could use the encouragement and would absolutely love to share more of what He’s been doing.
*I just finished my letters and now I need people to send them to! Let me know if I could send you a super awesome letter in the mail!!
