Dear Grayson Adare Moore,

First of all, please know this: you are loved. At the very moment we learned of your existence, we have loved you. Perhaps you’re wondering whom I’m referring to when I say “we”? Well to sum it up, you have a vast array of uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins, friends, friends of friends, and numerous others who have been saturating your existence with prayers. Perhaps one day you’ll be able to read the FB messages in our little chat group as it was buzzing with words of encouragement from all over America, Canada, The Philippines, and Thailand (I’ll explain why Thailand one day ;D). Also know that if you ever want to do something illegal and/or fun, all you gotta do is ask your uncles! But if you wanna do something expensive, ask your aunts!!

Baby Grey, even more than our love, there is a greater love that is for you. This love was there for you even before we knew you were conceived. This is the love of Jesus. He is your best friend, your great advocate, your heavenly father, your peace beyond all understanding, your guidance through the dark, your wonderful creator, your flawless savior, your genius author, your patient teacher, and so so much more. We pray that you will come to learn these things for yourself, but for now just rest in His arms and know that you are loved.

You were born a few hours ago and current lay at 7 pounds 15 ounces. God made the universe in 7 days and the intricacies of His creative mind can be found in each pound of your little body. You are a prince and part of a royal priesthood. This is because of blood, but not the blood you carry. Rather, your royalty is a result of the blood Jesus Christ shed for you many years ago on a cross. Crazy right!?? He made the ultimate sacrifice for you and you’ve just been born! I still can’t wrap my brain around it so don’t you even begin worrying about understanding it yet. Also, as you begin to learn how this world works don’t forget the very first thing I’ve said. You are loved. No matter how many poopy diapers, no matter how many times you spit up on your dad and other uncles besides me, no matter how many remotes you pee on, no matter what. You are loved. Now I must say, don’t abuse this! But walk boldly as the prince that you are. Well.. maybe learn how to raise your head and use your fingers first.

I talk way too much, but this is only because I’m way too excited to meet you in person. Above all, just rest in the arms of your earthly parents and Heavenly Father knowing that you are so sooooooooo loved.

– Uncle Jas.
