First off sorry about the title sometimes I think I’m funny.
Well often times we are a lot like Moses. Yes Moses, the Old Testament hero. Moses the Prince of Egypt. Moses the leader of the Israelites. Moses the guy who had a speech impediment.
Moses from the beginning of his life was chosen by God to do something great. As we are. God calls us higher. He calls us deeper. But that’s not the end of our similarities with Moses.
Moses questioned God, like a lot of us tend to do. Questions like who am I to do this for you? Isn’t there someone else God? I know I’ve questioned God in similar ways. Maybe we see someone who needs to be talked to and you get the urge to talk to them but in your mind you can’t stop asking yourself
“But God are you sure I am supposed to talk to them? Isn’t there someone else? I’m not very good with spoken words God.”
I can’t help but think that Moses was mentally asking the same questions. And Moses knew the answer, as often times we do. He knew that God told him to do exactly what He wanted him to do.
I’m absolutely sure there were nerves in Moses I’m sure that he was terrified. Scared out of his mind. This was a huge thing to ask one man to do. Obviously Moses could not do it alone, he needed God. We often times are terrified at seemingly gigantic tasks. Things that God wants us to do scare us sometimes, I’ll admit it that I am scared sometimes. I am scared of what may or may not happen. But Moses knew that God would go with him when he went and we need to believe that as well. God is with us. God will never leave us.
Something that I admire about Moses is his follow through. I need to be more like him in this sense. Moses heard what he was supposed to do. Moses was scared, but he followed through. God told him to do something and he did it. We all should take a page from that book. God is telling us to do something we ought to do it. He’s gonna push us out of our comfort zones. He’s gonna grow us. Ultimately God knows what He’s doing. Just one more time for my sake even: God knows what He’s doing. We should fully trust in the Most High. In the Lover. God is great guys God is great.
