Who am I? There’s a few ways that can be answered…as the world sees me, I am a single 26 year old guy who lives a mediocre lifestyle. But more importantly, I am a child of the living God! I am saved by the grace and love of God, and it’s every Christians responsibility to share His word and love to the ends of the earth, whether you go there yourself, or you support prayerfully (and financially) someone who does because physically going to the people of the world with the Gospel is NOT possible without the support and partnership of family, friends, and strangers! That is why your part as my partners in The World Race is just as (if not more) important than anything I could possibly do. I ask that anyone reading this please pray for my squad, my team, and myself. Each blog update will have specific prayer requests and praise reports at the end. But anywho, before we go any further, let’s do a little fun facts about Jason session:
1) I have a heart for people, it’s very easy for me to like someone, and hard for me to not like them.
2) When I look at people, I strive to see their inner self.
3) I would rather wear jeans and a t-shirt than a suit and tie any day (but that doesn’t mean I don’t like the occasional suit and tie experience).
4) You will barely ever see me without a smile, and if I don’t have one on, it’s likely that I’m just deep in thought.
5) If I see you without a smile, I will try to put one on you.
6) I have a crazy personality (my main picture on here shows it rather well).
7) I strongly feel you can’t go through life being all serious, cut up a bit and have a little (safe) fun.
8) I have always wanted to “jump out of a perfectly good airplane” as my mom puts it.
9) I have been through ups and downs in life, but they have all been building blocks to make me who I am today.
10) I am not a huge sports fan (most sports players are for the money, there’s no passion in it).
11) My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 1:6 “Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” (ESV)
Now, I could probably go rambling on forever, but I will leave this official first World Race blog post at that. More details into these 11 facts (as well as more about me) will come to play in future posts.
Thank you all for your prayers and support! I can’t do this without each and every one of you!!
