When I chose to take the leap of faith to do this world race, I didn’t just make a rash decision.  I didn’t take lightly the fact that I would need $16,285 to get me around the world for the next year to spread and grow Gods kingdom.  This is something I prayed on daily for about 3 weeks.  After all this prayer and patiently waiting for an answer, my Heavenly Father was faithful, as He always is, and gave me one. “Remember that crazy journey I put in your mind and heart to do?  Go and do, the money is being taken care of, I am lining up the provisions that you need.”  This was the answer I got from the Lord. When I heard this practically audible voice come over me I began to physically shed tears of joy that the Lord thinks me, a sinner, a newer believer in my faith, and therefore not very knowledgeable in the word, 23 year old guy, good enough to spread His Gospel and Glory to the nations.  Also, I was overjoyed that He answered my prayers with that “brick in the face” so to speak, for me to have no doubt that this was the Lords answer, and His plan for me and my life the next year.

I sit here beginning of month 3 in San Salvador, El Salvador with the money, food, shelter, gear and every other need of mine provided for so far, and I have full faith and trust in the Lord to provide for me the rest of this journey.  These provisions have happened by the Lord guiding me to some amazing brothers and sisters in Christ who have helped me every step, and in all the ways I need.  I can’t thank those who have helped me enough to show the love and appreciation in my heart for you all making this journey a reality for me. I have raised an incredible $8,475 thus far, and am in need of only $2,525 by April 1, 2014 to reach an $11,000 deadline, which will allow me to continue this life changing walk with the Lord and His children.

Some people may wonder why I am raising money for something I myself am doing.  Well, plain and simple I don’t have that kind of money, much less $100 to my own name. I brought my personal bank account down to $10 to get myself the last bit of what I needed just to be able to launch in January. The Lord knew that when He asked me to go, that I didn’t have $16,285.  I have come to believe that support raising isn’t really about money.  It’s about Jesus, and walking the path the Lord has laid out for us with Jesus’ life as an example.  Jesus is the perfect example.  He traveled, engaged, served, blessed, discipled, healed, proclaimed and sacrificed for our Father’s Glory on a daily basis.  He did this all while trusting God’s ability to provide for His every need through the support of God’s children.  Jesus taught us to trust in the Lord’s provisions in the same way.  In Mathew 10:7-10 Jesus sent out the 12 with these orders; He said

“7When you go, preach this: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ 8Heal the sick, raise the dead to life again, heal those who have skin diseases, and force demons out of people. I give you these powers freely, so help other people freely. 9Don’t carry any money with you—gold or silver or copper. 10Don’t carry a bag or extra clothes or sandals or a walking stick.  Workers should be given what they need.” (NCV)

As a full time disciple of Christ this next year and a messenger of the Gospel, I too can have this same trust for the Lord’s provision.  That every need of mine will be provided, including the finances needed to keep me alive for this next year.

I have love in my heart to help others and a willingness to give up my plans for His plan and Glory.  All other things I need will be shown to me, and have been growing in me through this beautiful walk with Him and through my fellowship with these 43 amazing men and women journeying with me that I now call family.  I am ecstatic to continue growing our family in Christ around the world this next year and beyond during my lifetime.

For me to continue this journey I need your help with financing my mission.  I also would love your prayers as I travel to unknown villages, beautiful orphanages, and just do life with His children around the world.  Help from you not only blesses me and yourself, but to truly blesses those who we serve on a daily and monthly basis out in the world.  As my journey continues I will be continuing to post blogs, videos and pictures along the way so that those back home and all those supporting me will get a chance to see the Lord’s work being done, and will get to be a part of this adventure alongside me for the next 9 months. I invite you to ask and pray. If you feel led to give a donation of any amount simply click the Support Me link beside my finance bar up top on this page or on the Support Me tab on the left of the page and follow the easy directions.

Thank you for everything you are doing or may do in the future to support my mission adventure!

God Bless!
