Hi Friends,
My name is Jason Chang and I’m from Littleton CO. I’m 22 and I graduate from Colorado Christian University with a major in Youth Ministry and a minor in Outdoor Leadership in exactly a week! (from today)
Over the past year I had the pleasure of being the youth pastor of the greatest youth ministry a man could ask for. During this time I got to see God move in miraculous ways and students coming to know God in deeper and richer ways and… it was awesome. One of the challenges with going on this World Race will be leaving behind this ministry and believing that God has a plan for them just as he has a plan for me. But, I suppose this is where I are called to live by faith rather than fear.
Over these 11 months of being on the trip I expect nothing less than to have my heart broken and to see God work in huge ways! I expect to be stretched as I pull myself from my comfortable life and exposed to the real hurts and struggles that occurs everyday around the world. I also am excited to see the joy that people have in living simply. Its easy to forget simplicity when we have just about anything and everything at the tips of our fingers. I know its cliche but I want to become a student of the world, I want to learn to live not in my own little world but in the world around me.
Anyways, this blog will help me keep you guys updated in the things I’m learning and what God is doing around me! So… Bye!
