We went to Herbys that Friday night for internet time. I was not getting any good signal for the internet. We decided to leave, we got to the road to hitchhike home and I had 2 minutes of good signal to call my sister and let her know my plan. We started talking and we didn't even say more than a "hello are you there?" A truck had pulled up and we were off so no luck that night.

Saturday, was ATL (ask the Lord) day. How do you want us spend our day Jesus, where do you want us to go? We decided to spend the day together as a team. We were off to hitchhike into the West Bay of Roatan, we didn't wait even two seconds and we had someone give us a lift. I wasn't even thinking about my travelers cheqs at this point. I just wanted to enjoy the day. On our way our driver and his wife had to stop at the bank to do some money stuff then they could take us further to where we needed to go. We had to wait a half an hour for the bank to open and in that time we were talking with our new friends Keith and Connie. My teammate Tess asked if I had gotten my travelers cheqs cashed and I grinned and said " Nope". I started talking about it and they both offered to cash them in for me. I was asking, " Can you do that?" I guess you can if you sign them over to someone and they have an account at the bank.
I went in with his wife, she spoke with someone in the bank and of course all in Spanish,so I am in anticipation and trying to figure out what they are saying with the tone and if i can make out some words Praise God, it can be done, and what was funny is that these are people that I didn't even know! They were going to take a chance on depositing them, withdrawal money, and give me the money because it takes up to thirty days for travelers cheqs to clear. I was in awe and taken aback. I don't want to be like that though because I shouldn't be blown away that, Jesus wants to look out and care for me!
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do,and he will show you which path to take.
As all of the money stuff was happening she was sharing how her brother in law was in an accident and my heart sunk. Here she was helping me and she had her own stuff going on. I didn't really know her relationship with Jesus but one thing the bible says or teaches us is how we need to take our eyes off of ourselves and help others. That is something I really need to develop and grow into. My desire has always been, how can I bless others no matter where I am at in life, good or bad.
I had a chance to pray with them about her brother in law. It was one of those rushed prayer as they had to get going but that's ok. I know the prayers were answered that day. God moved in their hearts and He is doing amazing healing in their lives spiritually and physically. Jesus helped me in a way I couldn't imagine to get these cheqs cashed, funny what plan I had in mind wasn't his plan. Last, but not least he gave me a blog to encourage you with! I hope this blog would encourage you in so many ways, it could be either to take our eyes off of ourselves, be open to pray for someone, or just to bless someone in time of need. I just know he will show up in the most incredible ways you would never expect.
PS… Fun Canadian Fact, if you are wondering why "cheqs" was spelled wrong in this blog then YOU spelled it wrong, it is spelled CHEQS , just saying 🙂
