A Letter From My Team To You!

I have been writing to you all for the last 5ish months, and I want to thank you all so much for reading. It means so much to me to know there are people who desire to read about this hard and amazing experience! It has been one heck of a journey so far.

For this specific blog entry, my last team, Ahavah, wanted to do something for me and write to all those who follow my journey. They wanted to share their perspective on what it’s like to have me on their team. They wrote from their own words with the intention to encourage me and help me get fully funded, and I almost cried! It is so touching, and I am going to use this platform to share their words with you here. At the end, I will give you all a small update on what I am doing in Albania. Please read:

Hello Jasmine’s followers!

~ I would first off like to say thank you to everyone that has followed and supported her journey thus far. Your support means so much to her. Jasmine is the perfect person to be on the World Race. She is so outgoing and has the biggest heart for ALL people. She is so selfless and is willing to help anyone in any way they need. One of my favorite things about Jasmine is that she is a great listener and really seeks to understand your perspective and empathizes with you. Within the last 4 months of being on a team with Jasmine, I’ve seen how much she has grown as a person. She really seeks to practice the things she wants to work on and is always trying to better herself. I have loved seeing how God is shining in and through Jasmine. With all that said, I would like to ask you to consider donating to her trip. She has already raised $17,719 and has only $981 more to go. She deserves to be here on this once and a lifetime opportunity and God is using her in such great ways. Thank you for your consideration.

Love, Jasmine’s teammate Becca

~ Jasmine was made to love. She constantly seeks to help others around her as best as she can. I have loved getting to serve with her and watch her pour into the people of the community! She is amazing with kids and they all love her and her energy! She kept us going the past four months when we all felt tired. She continued to be there for each of us no matter what! I love Jasmine and I’m so happy to know her and get to watch her grow this year on the race. She is definitely right where the Lord wants her, so if you feel called, help her reach her goal to become fully funded!

~Jasmine is a one of a kind woman. She brings a light and an energy to the world that is needed. Jasmine has an incredible ability to submerge herself in the local culture and relate to the people around her with a genuine connection. She has a deep desire to know everyone. She wants to hear people’s stories and understand where they are coming from and make sure they know where God can take them. She is such a God centered woman and everything she does shows her heart to connect with others and point them back to the Father. Jasmine is making such  an incredible impact on every country that we are encountering and what she brings to the table is something the rest of the world deserves to experience. Money given to help support Jasmine is a seed sown in fertile ground.

~ Jasmine!!  WOAH! Talk about an amazing woman!  She brings an enthusiastic approach to Jesus, and her contagious energy blesses those who meet her!  She literally lights up every room she walks into with her electric energy! She is always going out of her way to get to know people, ask questions, and seek to understand people. She evaluates the perspectives of people we meet and tries to see how they see in relation to God and her own life.  She isn’t afraid of being wrong. She is more concerned with being fair and impartial; what that looks like is her taking up the case of the poor and the hurting. She champions the needy, loves on the broken people and will NEVER walk away from a situation without having evaluated and altered her worldview to be more aware of the mindsets of others.  She seems understanding and she is always challenging herself to grow! You guys are lucky if you know Jazz, she is amazing and I am super thankful she is my friend and teammate (again). Please donate to get her fully funded! I need her out here doing this HARD and CHALLENGING life with me. She is a great listener and offers superb advice. She is genuinely in love with people because she believes deeply in each individual’s intrinsic worth.  She deserves the best of life. Love her. – Brittany

Jasmine speaking now:

Wow!!! Ahhhhhh! I don’t even know what to say: speechless. That was my first team. Not everyone signed their name at the end of each paragraph, but those girls have really taught me so much about life by just doing life with them 24/7 the first 4 months of the race. If you haven’t read my last post about how much that team had made an impact on my life, please read that post at: https://jasminejaurigue.theworldrace.org/post/learning-what-is-love

I only have to raise $926 left. Remember when I had to raise $18,700? Now I only have $981 left to raise!!! That’s a miracle!! See picture below to catch my facial expression when I first did the calculations of only having $926 left to raise! haha

I am so amazed at God and what he’s been teaching me about trusting him. What seems impossible is totally possible when we actually practice faith for real. Faith isn’t just a word, it’s an action. It’s hard, but it’s a real action with real amazing consequences. I am blown away! 🙂 I definitely believe the rest will be raised very soon! Thank you to all those who have believed in me, who have already given, who has been supporting me the whole time. It just shows how a collective group of people can make an impact in the world. And It is so inspiring!

UPDATES:

I am currently in Vlorë, Albania. My new team and I are partnering with Cru – an international interdenominational church/organization that offers spiritual guidance, resources and programs tailored for highschool and college-aged students from all cultures in every walk of life through many diverse outreaches. It is a safe place for students to go to explore what they believe in faith-wise, to do fun activities, to meet and have a strong community and to learn more about God, the Bible and be discipled if they desire that option. We have been doing a lot of outreach on their campuses, hosting fun events and initiating coffee dates with students we meet. It’s been such a different creative ministry and I’m learning so much already! I look forward to sharing more with you all. Please be praying for my new team and I as we work with the students we have been interacting with. Many students have been sharing their stories with us, and hopelessness in the world seems to be a big theme in our conversations from them. Please pray that through our time with them, hope is found and purpose to keep going is strong in their hearts! 🙂

Until my next blog, Jasmine Jaurigue
