After traveling the World for 11 months. I’m now starting the next chapter in my life…being an adult. Many people have told me “Now it’s time to come back to reality”. To be honest, I really don’t like when people tell me that. It sounds as if my year of experiencing the world, building relationships, and loving on people is not reality. Well, just in case you haven’t noticed the lives of the children and women that are forced into prostitution, the orphans that have no one to guide them, the sick that have no medicine are realities.Their stories are reality.
This past week I’ve been at a workshop called Searchlight which helps World Race alumni figure out their passions and their “Kingdom Dreams”. This workshop helps Racers define their passion. I am most most passionate about fighting human trafficking and I had BIG dreams to start my own nonprofit/business. However, I had no idea how to start it. Since being here my dream has been narrowed down into a “first step”. I was talking on a daily step by step process and received one-on-one coaching from experienced people.
We had the opportunity to talk with business people and network with those that have similar interest. I was able to get some awesome contacts and advice from people that already have experience.
I encourage all World Racer alumni to go to Searchlight!!!
