Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I Have always been drawn to missionary work and thought it was what I should be doing, but lost track of that, falling into traps of the world. But, by the grace of God, He has brought me back on track.
One night, board at work, I typed in a search for missionary trips and the first sight I found was The World Race. I fell in love with what I saw and read. It was almost instantly that I felt this is what God wanted me to do. So I took the next couple weeks to pray about it to confirm what I was feeling, praying this is where God wants me. I never did get the big billboard sign telling me what to do like I wanted, but every day reading my bible there was I a verse speaking to me, telling me to go. I applied for the world race a couple weeks later and was accepted to the January route 3 squad also known as O squad.
What is The World Race? well, it is a 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries where I will get the chance to share Christ’s love to the people there, whether that is by building churches or by just hanging out, loving on these people and sharing the gospel with them. I am very excited to see how God will be growing me in this next year. The countries that I will be visiting are the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa.
My first task for this journey is to trust in God to provide the money for the trip. I ask that you would pray about supporting me on this trip, either in prayer or finances or both. The total cost of this trip is $15,500 and covers pretty much everything for the 11 months of travel, food and lodging etc.
