First off, let me thank everyone who has donated and been praying for me during this fundraising. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! I cannot thank you enough for how far you’ve gotten me and how much of a blessing it is!
I have been learning so much about how God provides. A few days ago I was reading through Proverbs. Specifically Proverbs 23:4-5 which says:
“Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness, cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”
Reading through these two verses was like a slap in the face. I always worry about how I’m going to get the money I need for this trip. I have been trusting myself and what I can do rather than trusting the Lord and what He does. I’ve been having a hard time getting motivated because it just seemed so impossible. And the worst part was that I allowed these lies from Satan be perceived as truths. So the past while has been quite the hindrance to me.
I learned with this past deadline that God really does provide what we need when we need it. It may take till the last second, but when He calls you to do something. And you put in the effort to follow his call. He will provide. You just have to trust him. I learned even more then before how true it is, that our timing is not always Gods timing and He can do whatever He wants whenever He wants. Nothing we do or say will change his mind. Trust in the Lord.
And now all that being said. Training camp! AHHH! In two days I leave for TRAINING CAMP! Going down to Georgia to meet everyone on my squads and the other July routes face to face! As far as I’ve heard, read, and watched about it, there is really no comparison with what goes on at training camp. We just learn more about God and what we will be doing to an extent. It’s also a great time to test out all my equipment!
