Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 18:2
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my
Stronghold.”
HELLO! I’m Jared Yoder, I am 20 years old and go to Johnson University Florida, which used to be Florida Christian College. my major is Cross-Cultural Ministries! YEA MISSIONS!
I Grew up in a tiny town in northern Indiana called Middlebury, and went to the good ol’ high school of Northridge! My Mom (Tina) and Dad (Dave) were Amish growing up, and taught me the language. Along with my sister Crystal, and brother Tim (both older than me). So naturally, I’m the baby of the family. 😀
In fifth grade, my parents divorced, and my mom remarried Rick Vandenbossche a couple years after. He brought two daughters, Delaney, and Brittany. So I was pretty glad because Delaney was younger than me, and I wasn’t the baby anymore! So I finally had someone to pick on. (Just kidding!!)
I gave my life to God when I was in 6th grade, at least publically, however, it was a few years after that, that I would realize what would actually have to happen in order for me to do that. Needless to say, I love the Lord, and everything to do with him!
I love to travel, and tell others about the love of Christ. My senior year of high school, I went on a trip my friends told me about to Florida. Now to understand this, you have to realize the frigid temperatures of northern Indiana during the winter months are terrible unless you’re skiing or snowboarding. Which you can’t do too much of that anyway.
Now, our group of, 50ish students went to Siesta Key, Florida during spring break and spent the entire week talking to the people on the beach about God, and what they had fallen from, and how Jesus came and made it possible for them to be saved. We did this for majority of the days that week, and also a couple nights, we went onto the beach and did the same thing at night amidst the huge beach parties. That week, if I remember right, we had 3 or 4 people give their lives to God and some even got baptized right then and there in the ocean! I didn’t speak with those that were saved, and it may not seem like a significant number, however, I pray that tons of seeds were sown that day and hopefully, others have come along and told them more about the Lord.

Anyway, this is a little about me, if you want to know more,
Either read my blogs when they come out, or email me! using the contact me section to your left!
