Hello! My name is Jared Celosse, I’m 18 years old, and I live in St. Petersburg, Florida. I just graduated high school from a small private Christian school called Keswick (the W is silent). I’m very passionate about soccer and almost every other sport. I love going to the beach; The beach is probably one of my most favorite places to be because I get to enjoy one of God’s most beautiful creations.
My desire for missions was placed upon my heart by God during a message I heard at Passion 2016, a Christian conference for 18-25 year olds. For a while, I was praying for God to reveal to me His plan and how this new revelation was going to impact it. I knew I was supposed to do missions I just didn’t in what capacity, but I knew the Lord would provide an opportunity for me to act on this desire, and reveal His plan to me.
I found out about the World Race through one of my teachers at school, and, at first, I didn’t think it would be something I would want to do, which was silly of me because God had clearly answered my prayers but I was just too ignorant to see it. Shortly after that initial conversation, a number of other people mentioned World Race to me, knowing I wanted to do missions. After processing all this, I prayed a lot, wondering if this was indeed what God had for me. And so it was.
I couldn’t be happier and more willing to go serve on such a tremendous and life-changing experience as this, and I’m grateful for all the ways He supplies for me and continues to supply for me. It is through faith and trust in Him that I am committing to take this step of faith and leave for the World Race in October, 2016.
