Hey Racers!

We understand that there may be some confusion about what your financial responsibilities are in light of the new insurance policy, and we are here to shed some light!

You probably know that you have two financial deadlines to meet before you launch in January and we know that those can appear to be lofty goals at the beginning, so we have set up some financial checkpoints to help you stay on track!

These are not deadlines, but they will give you an idea of where you should be.

Your mobilizer will be checking your account on a monthly basis to see where you are financially.  We do not want to see your account sit at $150 until a week before your first deadline!

CHECKPOINT ONE
By August 1st, you should have $1,000 in your account.

CHECKPOINT TWO
By September 6th, you should have $2,500 in your account.

DEADLINE ONE
By September 27th, you MUST HAVE $3,500 in your account.*

(For La Ruta [Route 1] Racers, your deadline is $3,000)

*Remember, your funds must be fully processed and in your account. This means that you need to mail in any checks by September 13th and have online donations submitted by September 24th in order to guarantee that they are processed in time to meet your first deadline.

CHECKPOINT THREE
By November 1st, you should have $5,000 in your account.
If you have gone with the new insurance policy, you should have more like $6,000 in your account by this time.

DEADLINE TWO – this one is tricky, so read carefully:

By December 18th:
If you have chosen to use the old insurance plan (which you must have purchased and uploaded by August 1st), you MUST have $6,500 in your account.

If you are going with the new insurance plan (or did not purchase your insurance prior to August 1st), you MUST have $7,500 in your account.

(La Ruta [Route 1] Racers, your deadline is $5,500 if you went with the old insurance, $6,500 if you are going through the new insurance policy).

If you are not going to make a checkpoint goal, it is your responsibility to contact your mobilizer to discuss your fundraising plans and ideas.

If you are holding onto money, it would be a good idea to e-mail your mobilizer and let her know – and then send it in! If you have any questions, call your marvelous Mobilizer!

You CAN do this! With GOD nothing is impossible!
