We’ll be equipping you with some real practical stuff to help you prepare for your experience, like how to blog, what gear to buy, and how to calm your parents down when they are sure something bad is going to happen. We’ll be keeping you up to date on what’s happening with Racers on the field and talking about what God is doing in their hearts.
ROUTE 1 – MICAH HIGGINS

my name is Micah Higgins and I will be your World Race mobilizer and
support coach! What in the world does this mean? It means that I will
be your official point of contact if you have any questions, concerns,
and even prayer requests during this time. Please don’t be shy about
shooting me an email or giving my phone a ring. I cannot even begin to
tell you how excited I am about walking through this process with you!
A
little about me… I went on the World Race in July of 2010. To say
that the race changed my life would be a bit of an understatement.
During that year God shook me, turned me upside down, and then piece by
piece but me back together in such a way that life will never be the
same. It was a year of learning what a life of love, of grace, of
honor, and of forgiveness really looks like. A messy, but absolutely
beautiful process!
After
the race, I had the opportunity to return to Cape Town, South Africa to
do ministry alongside a WR contact for an additional 3 months before
settling back in stateside. And here I am, back in lovely Georgia,
America with the opportunity to work with Adventures in Missions and be
able to spend some time pouring back into the organization that poured
out so much for me.
I’m
tend to be a bit of an adventure and sports enthusiast. I’d pick
outdoors over indoors any day, and always sunshine over the cold! I’m a
born and raised Arkansas girl, and believe that life is always better
coated with a bit of southern charm. 🙂 I’m also a sucker for romantic
comedies and will never turn down a good plate of Mexican food!
So excited about getting to know you. Feel free to send me an email at [email protected] or give me a call at 770.983.1060 ext 242. You can also check out my blog and adventures at http://faithexpressinglove.blogspot.com

My name is Jessica Belkot but you can call me Jess – all my friends do, and I will be your mighty Mobilizer. I’ll be the one to help keep you motivated and to assist you with many of the mundane and/or maniacal tasks you will need to complete as you prepare to move forward on this missions trip. Wow…that was a lot of M’s. I’m a sucker for alliteration! Here’s a little extra info about me, in bullet form for your convenience…
- I can be kind of awkward on the phone sometimes…lo siento friends.
- My husband Weston is my bestest friend. His love has taught me so much about what God’s love is like: tender yet strong and unconditional.
- I grew up as an “Army Brat.” 13 schools, 12 houses and 18,367 feet of packing tape.
- I went on the World Race in October 2009 to September 2010. One of the best years of my life. Much love to my L-Squad peeps!!
- My taste buds love to try new foods…my hips do not appreciate this.
- I am still in the process of learning to accept that God truly loves me and is glad to call me His daughter.
- Going outside or going on a trip? I’m in.
- Jumping off of and out of things is fun!
- I like smiling. Smiling is my favorite!
- Next to smiling is reading-especially before I go to bed at night.
- I used to work at a “quasi-military” school for at-risk teens. Stressful, rewarding, and a blessing beyond comprehension. Now I work at AIM which is only rewarding and a blessing beyond comprehension.
- I desperately want to know God more. He’s all that matters! Why is that so easy to forget?
- I would not do much of anything for a Klondike bar, they hurt my teeth, but McDonald’s Fudge Sundaes….that’s a whole different story.
- Someday, with or without an endless supply of money, I will go back to college to be a nurse….with an endless supply of money would be preferable.
- I’m going to rock down to electric avenue and then I’ll take it higher…..whatever that means.
- I want others to know the love and peace of Christ and to do my part to fight injustice.
- I want to live and write a good story.
- The best thing in the world is to forget that one exists and live only for God.
- The next best thing is to be working here at AIM, doing what I can to help you amazing people set out on this crazy, life-changing, God-encountering journey! It’s my joy and it’s an honor!
ROUTE 3 – ALEXANDRA SQUYRES

I’m Alexandra Squyres. I will be your mobilizer up until your launch.
I am here to help you through the process and to answer your questions
about gear, passports, travel and everything in between.
I
went on the World Race in July of 2010. God severely rocked my world!
He tore it all apart, but rebuilt it in a new and beautiful way. After
returning to the states, I spend a month at home with my family then
made the move to Gainesville, Georgia! I now work at Adventures In
Mission as the World Race Mobilizing Specialist.
I
am an adventure junky. I love the outdoors! You will most likely find
me sitting in teh sun, playing in the sun or just sleeping in it!
I
love anything that will make my stomach feel like it’s in my throat. I
am passionate about people, and helping people find freedom!
I
am originally from Kansas where my family and 5.5 nieces live (sister
is prego again). After college I went on staff with a Christian
organization that moved me to Illinois for a year then to Massachusetts
for two. While living in Massachusetts I was a nanny for a family of 5 –
that experience taught me SO much about life, family and love! Then I
went on the World Race and my life has since been changed!!
I look forward to getting to know you; feel free to call or email with questions or concerns: [email protected] 770-983-1060 x312
