Greetings from the World Race Media Department! We’re so
excited that you’re on this journey and we look forward to hearing your
stories. With training camp quickly approaching I’d like to offer you an
opportunity with our department.
As our society becomes more and more visual, we as an
organization are continually finding new ways to become more innovative in
reaching our generation. As you know, you will be keeping a blog to chronicle
your World Race journey. In addition to writing, many of you will be posting other
types multimedia to your blogs, such as videos and photographs.
The future of missions is evolving around
storytelling; therefore, we would like to extend to you the opportunity to
participate in a two-day media training seminar at the Adventures in Missions
headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia. In addition to teachings from the World
Race Media team, we’re bringing in professional producers, screenwriters and
photographers from Atlanta and other parts of the US, to teach you how to
effectively communicate your stories, and refine your skills in photography,
cinematography, and writing. For the first time in World Race history,
top-notch professionals in the industry are coming to teach participants
because they believe in the potential of the stories YOU could tell. If you
have any bent in the areas of photography, cinematography, or writing and would
like to refine your skill set we would like to invite you to participate in
this tremendous opportunity.

serve opportunity and there will be a cap on the number of participants.
The seminar will be held prior to your training camp on October
14-16. If you’re interested in participating please wait to purchase your
tickets until after you have sent your RSVP. We need to know ASAP if you’re interested in

The cost of the seminar is $50. This will cover your food,
lodging, transportation and all materials for the seminar. This cannot come out
of your support account but I can tell you it will be worth it. We are bringing
in professionals who will give you necessary tools to share your story in an effective
way.
As Donald Miller says, “We need more beautiful stories. We need
more risky stories.” You will be those stories this year. Come and learn how to
tell them to a society that desperately needs to hear YOUR story.
