Well January Racers, you’re now right in the thick of what we call “mobilization” — the time between when you’ve been accepted and when you’ll be ready to launch.  You’re going to do yourself a favor if you stay on top of everything that needs to get done in this period.  Don’t wait until the last minute.  Here are five things you can do to continue to prepare for the Race.

1. Upload Passport Information

  • Go to the “My Mobilization Info” tab on your profile.
  • Choose the “Documents” section.
  • Upload a scanned image of your passport AND enter the information in the required fields.

2. Research and purchase Vaccinations and Travel Insurance

  • Go to the “My Mobilization Info” tab on your profile.  Choose the “Preparation” section.
  • Vaccination information can be found under the “(+/-)” menu labeled “Medical”.  Insurance information can be found under “Insurance”.
  • Be aware that some vaccinations may require a series of shots, so you should research your need as soon as possible.

3. Upload Training Camp travel information

4. Register for a Web Conference with your Mobilizer

  • Routes 2 & 3 are running Mobilization Orientation Web conferences; Route 1 is running Web conferences to host Fund-Raising and Support discussions.
  • Links to register for the Web conferences can be found on your Squad Facebook group.
  • Links to your Squad Facebook group are at the bottom left of this page.

5. Mail your Support Letter and Begin Follow-Up

  • Have someone proofread your support letter, upload it to your profile under the “Documents” section of your “My Mobilization Info” tab.
  • Send your support letter with a Support Card and an envelope addressed to the AIM PO box address to your entire support list.
  • Begin making follow-up phone calls about a week after you’ve sent the letter.  Set up dinner and coffee appointments to share with people the vision of what God is going to do in and through you with the World Race.
  • More tips and ideas for how to communicate with potential donors can be found on your profile under the “Fund-Raising” tab in the “Fund-Raising” section.
