So, this is my first time posting a blog on here. I apologize in advance if it’s confusing. I tend to jump around a lot when I talk (most call it ADD) so I hope you can keep up with what I’m saying!
Well it all started Friday. I was driving to Abilene from Houston (which is a 6 hour drive) and typically on this drive I end up with at least one speeding ticket

and a couple warnings. So I was sure to be extra careful the whole way. For those of you that know me, my speedometer doesn’t work….so speeding tickets come frequently for me. Anyways, I was an hour away from Abilene and I was so proud of myself for not being pulled over and so excited to get to Abilene to see everyone. When all of a sudden, my little friend (that I like to call fluffy) jumped out in front of my car. Fluffy is a very large sized buck that I came across in the road. You can see from the pictures that my car didn’t handle the impact quite that well! And I can honestly say it was one of the most terrifying moments of my life.
Needless to say, I came out feeling incredibly blessed. Everybody at the scene of teh accident said they

were surprised I was alive. Hearing something like that always tends to hit close to home. I walked away with a sevcerly bruised hand, and a couple of gnarly gashes on my face and ear and a minor concussion. But I do believe with my whole heart that there were angels with me that day.
Unfortunately my car wasnt completely covered with insurance, so I am having to pay quite a bit. And I am now stuck without a car probably until we leave for the race. Money has been a big issue for me lately (as I’m sure it is for all of you), but I just see it as another opportunity to praise God! I don’t beleive that anything has the power to wipe the smile of pure joy that God has put on my face!
Also, I woke up this morning to a phone call from my sister crying saying that grandma was in the hospital with heart problems. (they are most likely going to be doing heart surgery soon) And my grandpa, who has a horrible case of alzheimers, was freaking out and more confused than ever.
It’s been a really weird/stressful couple of days for me. But at the same time, I’ve never felt so overwhelmingly blessed in my life!
I just wanted to share a story of praise for you all. And show how awesome our God truly is.
And I am so stoked to be meeting all of you beautiful people in just FOUR DAYS!
