Corinthians 5:18-21
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through
Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was
reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against
them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal
through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we
might become the righteousness of God.
We do not have the power to
save. So do not put that pressure on
yourself. That is for God and God alone
to handle. We are saved by the Name of
Jesus alone (Acts 4:12). No other
name. The name of Daniel, John, Kristen,
Ben, Emily, etc. cannot save people. We
can only share what God has done in our lives.
It is our job to speak out for all that Christ has done in our
lives. If it has not sunk in since
Training Camp I hope that you realize now that God has all the power and He
chooses to use us. I do not know about
you but I feel a huge weight lifted off of me with the Freedom that this brings
to my life. That my only purpose in this
life is to tell of what God has done in my life. Everything else is on God. If we live this way God will take care of the
rest. He will bring salvation to the
lost. He will redeem the broken. He will lift up the fallen. He will shelter the homeless. He will feed the hungry. He will use those who are fulfilling their
purpose to do all of these things. Those
people who realize that without Christ everything is meaningless. Without surrender we are helpless and useless
to God. God did not design us to watch
His Glory but to take part of His Glory and be used by Him to share His Glory
with everyone we meet.
