Immunizations

I just went to get get one of my immunizations (follow-up one for Kenya), and learn about what’s suggested for where we are going this next year. The doctor said that I should highly consider getting Rabies and Japanese Malaria. The only problem is that each shot for both is over $200 and I’d need 5. 

What have you heard or been told about these? Is it worth the $1100 (that I don’t really have!)?
