I haven’t been on the team blog a lot lately so I really just wanted to check in with everyone.

SO… How’s it going?

I see Phillip was on TV which is very cool. Daystar must be an American TV program because I’d never heard of it before. And Suzi’s opening night sounds fantastic, I totally wish I could be there. 🙂 It also looks like everyone is slowly accumulating gear, working hard on fundraising and figuring out how to work and write a blog.

I have to say that one of the things I love the most about our blog is the prayer requests. It’s awesome to see that happening already, very encouraging for the next year.

I finally got the time off work for training camp so I am now officially in this thing. Can you believe it’s only 20 days until training camp? It came so fast! I still have so much left to do. However, as God has so aptly demonstrated lately, it will get done. I’m looking forward to finally meeting everyone and being put on a team.

How’s everyone doing with fundraising? I see everyone has a lot of ideas which is awesome.

I got to speak to my church several weeks ago. I feel silly saying that it was intimidating when my church is only about 50 families on a good week and everyone else seems to attend churches of 7000. I think it went really well. It’s in God’s hands now any ways.

I have a support dinner and dessert auction coming up on Oct 2 which will be a lot of fun. We have room for 60 people to attend, so far we’ve got around 35 signed up. It will be good regardless of how many turn up but all of your prayers will be greatly appreciated.

I’m hoping to be able to find a logging truck in the very near future so we can load it with firewood to sell. We did that to raise money for our grad ball way back when and it works really well. At least around here it works well. Pretty much everyone heats their house with wood during the winter. So if you want to pray for a logging truck that would be pretty cool too.

That’s pretty much how I’m doing.

I watched my first live hockey game-much more exciting than on TV…

Mills lost 2-5 to the Vipers but it was still lots of fun.

How is everyone? Doesn’t even have to be world race related, I just want to know what’s going on. What’s everyone excited about, overwhelmed by, learning?

What’s God up to? What’s he teaching you lately?

You’re all in my thoughts and prayers.

Nicole.
