Welcome to the January 2011 (Route 2) World Race Team!  I saw a blog like this on the Route 1 Team Blog and had to borrow it…I think it pretty much says what we all need to start getting to know each other before Training Camp…

I
think that I speak for everyone when I say that we’re all really
excited to be a part of such an amazing experience and the excitement
grows more and more as we get closer to training camp and launch. It’s
also exciting to see new people continually added to our team! We want
to welcome you warmly, help you navigate the blog and get involved in
our community here and on Facebook with as much ease as possible.

First
thing you can do is go to the post titled “Hi, My Name is…â€ and
introduce yourself. I know it took some time for my name and blog to
get set up but you should be able to comment. Your introduction will
let us know that you exist and enable us to keep an eye out for you and
help you get connected.  I’m
hoping that knowing something about the people on our squad will make
training camp a little less overwhelming later on. In my experience
people are always a lot more comfortable when they know someone even a
little bit.

Our
squad has a Facebook group (World Race January 2011).  The Admin is Daniel Chantlos (a member of the January 2011 Route 1 Team).  If you have any trouble finding it, shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]

I’m going to create a Prayer Request/Praise Report blog that we can add to as needs arise.

If
you stumble across something while praying or reading your Bible that
is encouraging or if God totally comes through for you and you want to
share please do. We’re all going through the same fundraising process
and it’s hard sometimes, we could love the opportunity to celebrate
with you and be encouraged by what God is doing in your life. You can
post that in the Praise Report section.

I
think that’s all for now. If anyone else has any ideas of ways that we
can make this blog more welcoming and user friendly please share them.

I’m
look forward to meeting everyone and I hope this helps anyone out there
who’s new to break into our little community. On behalf of everyone I
want to welcome you to the Jan 2011 (Route 2) World Race Team. We’re all really
excited and eager to get to know you.
