I have been fully immersed into the world of Outdoor gear thanks to stores like REI, Cabela’s, LL Bean, etc. and I have found that 1. everything is expensive and 2. I want/think I need a lot! Anyone else overwhelmed???
Thankfully I have picked out a backpack, and a few smaller items, but I was wondering if anyone had recommended brands/places to buy any of the following things:
- a tent (I just realized we need one for training camp, ahh! I know the specifications of what we need, but specific brands/types that are good would be helpful
- a sleeping bag (is it better to go with a mummy bag or regular?)
- a sleeping pad
Any other tips/advice would be helpful too!
