We all arrived in Guatemala, baggage and all, safe and sound! We then drove to Antigua, which is absolutely beautiful with coble stone streets and all! We are staying in a hostel and have just been having a mini version of training camp. We have had sermons and lectures on the Holy Spirit, living in a true community, and have had wonderful times of worship! We have two wonderful coaches and some other people who made our launch such a joy and a wonderful experience. I have loved getting to spend some time with my team, Jubilee, and we are starting to become more like a family. The more time I spend with them, the more I love them and can see God work and shine through them!
We also had a wonderful opportunity to hike one of Guatemala’s Volcano’s, Picaya, and took up marshmallows and roasted them over the lava. People said it was an easy hike, but let me tell you- it was not! I walked about three fourths of the way up and ended up riding a horse up the rest of the way! It was a beautiful hike and Picaya was so beautiful and reminded me of just how big and great our God is!
