First of all, I want to apologize for not posting anything up in a while 🙂 – hopefully that will change over the next couple months!
So in the beginning of June, I had a wonderful God-given opportunity to be the missionary speaker at my parents’ church’s Vacation Bible School. Each evening, I would pick a couple countries to talk and tell about what other World Racers experienced and what they saw and what we might be doing in those countries. I am not one who loves to talk in front of large groups of people, even if they are children 🙂 but God gave me the words to say and showed me that I can do anything through Him! God amazed me by what He did and how well the kids, as well as all the workers and parents, responded. 
Each night the kids would bring in money to help support me on my trip and God totally blew me away by what happened! A couple of weeks before VBS had even started, I was getting somewhat discouraged by what little support I seemed to be receiving from family and friends and I was starting to question whether this was what God really wanted me to do. Well, God totally showed me that this is exactly what His will was for my life! In a matter of one night, the kids brought in over $1,000 and within a matter of five days, they had raised over $1,700. It was right then and there that I realized that without a doubt, I am supposed to go on the World Race and that God is providing for this trip through unexpected and unconventional ways!
So through all of this, God taught me that He will provide- it is just His timing and in His ways! He also gave me a wonderful support group through VBS and I know that God will provide for all of us for this trip- it will just be in His own way for each of us! God is using everyone around us- our churches, kids, parents, friends, relatives, and even strangers- to help provide and amazes me all the time with how everything seems to fall into place!
