schools and teach English. As Americans, we get to go and teach
English and we have an opportunity because of this to be able to share about Jesus. We are able to help the pastor get into the school and start to build relationships! In the first school, we went to about 5 or 6 classrooms and taught for about 15 minutes in each one. We mostly taught months and how to introduce yourself J Then the school took us out to a wonderful lunch and kept on giving us food! Then we did a skit and DJ gave his testimony and then of course we played some games!!!!
So at all of these schools, there are these statue animals, and we, of course, could not help but get our picture taken at each one 🙂
The next day we went to two more schools! The first one we taught for
about an hour and then did a skit and some songs J Then the school gave us lunch and while we were waiting for our Pastor, I decided to swing on the swings. As soon as I sat down a bunch of kids came over and started to swing with me and talk to me in Thai like I knew what they were saying J This was made my day and once again reminded me that even though there is a language barrier, kids are still kids and loving on them is what is important! Then later that day we went to a high school and did a skit, Chelsea gave her testimony, and
answered
any questions that the kids had for us (and yes we got the one “Do you have a boy/girl friend?” J ).
We are still teaching English in the evenings to the same group of kids and I am loving it! The kids are starting to understand some and I love being able to just love on them! When one of these kids smile, it makes my night! So please be praying for all the kids we have been able to meet and talk with- that their hearts will be open and that they will see something different in us and not be afraid to ask what it is!
