We had the opportunity to go to an orphanage for kids affected by HIV/AIDS  on our last day of ministry. All I can say is that this opportunity redeemed Africa (well West Africa) for us. Africa has been hard for us and I know that we are in the refiner’s fire J One of the challenges of the past 3 months has been that we were the first World Race group to come to West Africa so we got to truly pioneer West Africa for future world race teams!!! As exciting as that it is, it has also been hard and been so different from our months in Central America and in Asia. But God knew exactly what we needed and sent us to this orphanage (too bad we did not discover it until right before we left L).

They had about 9 kids in the home, but a lot of the children in the neighborhood come and play with those kids and like to hang out there. So we were able to love and play with a lot of kids!!!  Here in Nigeria, those kids that had parents with HIV/AIDS (even if they themselves do not have it) are not wanted even by their own villages and our considered outcasts. This home takes them in and just loves on them !!!! It was so much fun and here are some pictures from that day:

This is one of the litte boys from the neighborhood that from the first glance I feel in LOVE with him!!!! Haley had some stickers and    as you can tell he loved them!!!!  Towards the end he just held my hand and let me just hold him and hug him!  So precious!!!
