So I have more information about what we will be doing next month in Nicaragua and the travel plans! We will be with Team Hot Mess this next month and I am so excited to spend some time with them and to get to know them better! This next month we will be at Ometepe Island (yes we will be on an island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua!!!). We will be working with Cicrin Ministry (you can google it and find some more information and videos that other world racers have made about the ministry) and should arrive there by November 9th. Half of us will be working with the orphanage during the day- doing gardening, cooking, taking care the kids (but especially an 8 month old and a 4 year old), helping cook meals, and just loving on these kids! The other half will be doing more stuff with the local church- construction, helping out with the Pastor, and doing service projects. In the evenings, we all will be playing and loving on the kids there! I am so excited to be around kids this next month and know that it will be hard to see so many kids in that situation but it will be a blessing to love these kids and to love them like Jesus does! Please be praying for Team Unity, safety, and health (all of us our finally healthy and hopefully we will not get sick over the next 10 months!). Also that we would truly love these children and show Christ to them through all that we do and to give all that we are to this ministry and to not hold anything back.
I still cannot believe that this first month is over and I will miss Lacama and the people there but I am excited to see what God has in store for us over this next month! On the 6th we head to Guatemala City to meet up with the other teams and then on the 7th we start our trek to Nicaragua. We will spend the night in San Salvador, El Salvador on the 7th and drive through Honduras and spend the night in Managua, Nicaragua on the 8th. Then on the 9th we will all split off and head to our different ministry sights. My team and Team Hot Mess will take a bus to Rivas, Nicaragua and meet up with our contact then travel on from there to our ministry site!
I have no clue when I will have internet next, but as soon as I can I will update you all about what is going on and how the long bus ride went J Thank you all for your prayers and support! I love reading your emails and comments on my blogs and it is so encouraging to hear
