Eleven counties in eleven months, sharing Christ’s love and serving people. Sounds amazing right?!
Well, the world race is amazing. I’ve experienced more spiritual growth than I’ve ever have and it’s only been 3 months. I’ve learned the true definition of community. I’ve experienced freedom by being vulnerable and honest with those around me. I’ve seen some cool places and met some amazing people, but the world race isn’t always as awesome as those Instagram/Facebook pics you see.
Honestly, it’s hard and at times you will want to go home. It’s only been three months and I can already tell you that the world race might be one of the hardest things I do. It challenges and stretches every part of you.
So for the future racers..
DON’T come on the race if you just want an adventure.
DON’T come on the race if you just want to travel and have fun.
DON’T come on the race expecting to be made perfect or have it all figured out.
COME on the race if you want to see your life and the lives of others be completely transformed
COME on the race if you’re willing to be completely vulnerable and experience freedom.
COME on the race if you want know what if feels like to love even when it seems impossible.
The race has taught me so much, and it is only the beginning.
