Here are a few things I’ve learned while being on the world race!

1. When crossing the street, don’t think about it! Just GO (you may or may not DIE)
2. Pollution and dust are a real problem in other countries (literally just coughed)
3. Cows run the streets of India
4. Staring is common. Just crack a smile, you might make a friend
5. Random people want pictures of you even if they’re not in it
6. Selfies are a huge thing
7. People are so hospitable but can be pushy at times. (Just keep saying no and they’ll eventually get it…or not)
8. People love sharing their stories and just want a listening ear
9. Rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (not kidding)
10. People are so friendly. You can always find someone to talk to on a long bus ride
11. Time is eternal, we’re leaving at 9am could really mean at 1pm or maybe even 5pm
12. Bathrooms do not have toilet paper but they have a water hose though (I need answers)
13. Squatty potties aren’t as bad as they sound or look
14. Using the bathroom on the side of the road is fairly common
15. You won’t shower everyday (baby wipes are my best friend)
16. Peanut butter and jelly is a staple and I kinda hate it
17. You can fit a lot of people in a tuk tuk that’s only meant for 3 people
18. Bartering is pretty entertaining
19. God is so present even when all I see is darkness
20. Hearing God’s voice is easier than you think (quiet time is essential)
