Hello 🙂
My name is Janibel and I’m 23 years old. I currently live in Connecticut but was raised in New York City. I have a huge tight-knit family! I’m the oldest of 5 and have over 20 aunts and cousins. At the age of 18, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, which of course was the best decision I have ever made! Being saved transformed me in many ways. I love to serve others and have a heart for the needy. I love children and youth and the impact the Lord can have in their lives when they are discipled. I am grateful for all the Lord has done for me and am excited to see how I can grow and be used by Him! When all is said and done, my true desire is to worship and honor my King in all I do!
Missions has been heavy on my heart for quite some time now but it was not until recently that I have felt the urgency to GO. Looking back, it seems as if I have always made up excuses and put limits on God’s ability to provide, hence why I didn’t apply to the World Race a couple of years ago.
Recently, I felt God calling me to take a step of faith and trust Him like never before. It was then when the idea of going on the World Race was rekindled. I curiously researched the World Race once again, but this time I applied and shortly after got accepted! Through this journey God has been faithfully and graciously reminding me that He is in control and all I have to do is trust Him.
I am so looking forward to seeing the great things God will do through my team, the people we will meet, and myself! May His Kingdom come!
