So, for my final blog on ATL month here is how week 3 played out for us. If you want to catch up on week 1 or week 2 just click the links to read!

Our wonderful new family helped us with a contact in Prishtina. Turns out she is familiar with the World Race as she has hosted a few teams before. She has started a cafe recently and was needing some help. It was a fun week of helping her with all sorts of things.

I got to try my hand at baking a few things like cakes, cookies, and muffins. We translated recieps from English to Albanian and vise versa. Helped with menus, washing dishes, barista, cleaning, babysitting her precious 7 year old daughter. Anything she needed help with we did. It was so much fun and good eating as well.

She was able to take a few breaks and get restored spiritually. We also had a fun movie night with her family and the family we met in Peja. They came down and brought me some jalapeno’s to eat with my popcorn. You should try it out. My popcorn eating life has changed! Such a good combo.

All of these weeks have been connected and we were connected by the Lord. If we hadn’t have left when we did. I am not sure that all of these things would have fallen into place. Each place led us to the next leg of the journey. You never know what the Lord has in store for you day, week, month, year until you ask.

This month of Ask the Lord has really changed how I view life and how things have changed for me. I have a new appreciation for taking time to just listen and see where the Lord is calling me to go.

How has your last few days been going with #ATLATW17? Have you been waking up and asking the Lord what he has planned for you? Have you waited for a later part of your day? If you haven’t been participating I challenge you to give it a try. you can always look back to tips on the blog I posted last week with a few how to’s. Just click here

I have some exciting news!! This month has been ATL (Ask The Lord) for my team and I. As this was for our ministry this month I decided why not apply this to my life and career options for after the race? Well, the Lord answered a lot of my questions. I am excited to say that I have been accepted to an alternative teaching certification program! This is an online program. I have some training and a few tests to study for before anything really gets started. In order to have access to this I have to make a small enrollment fee. Once I am hired to teach my first year (Aug 2018) the remaining comes out of my pay. I normally wouldn’t ask for help with something like this. However, as I am currently unemployed I don’t have the $350 it takes to get started. Starting this program will not affect my time on the field. I would get some of the study prep and a few of the training modules done on my off days when internet is available.

I know this is a concept not a lot of people are familiar with, but just hear my heart. When we ask we are inviting people into something. We are extending a hand and saying “will you join me in this? I want you to be a part of it and the blessings that come.” It’s a partnership. God does this with us all the time. He could easily handle things without us, but he loves us so much he wants our fingerprints on his handiwork too. Not only that, we get to enjoy some of the reward! Our Papa smiles when we take an offer that seems so small and blesses our “yes.”

Will you partner with me in helping me fulfill Gods calling on my life to be in the classroom and help shape the future leaders of the world?
