Wow! What a whirlwind of a month it has been for us. In a good way of course! Let me just give you a brief show of what all the Lord did for us this month. Also, I was not looking forward to this month AT ALL when I found out it was ASK THE LORD. But, it has turned out to be on of my FAVORITES!!

We all gathered in the kitchen area of our hotel during debrief at the beginning of July. My team of 7 plus 1 of the squad leaders. The first 10 minutes we just sat in a circle and prayed out loud for the Lord to show up and give us an idea of what He wanted from us for the month. Then the next 5-10 mins were spent on our own praying and asking the Lord. After this time, we gathered around in the kitchen and began one by one saying what we thought we heard from the Lord.

This is what we got:

Individual healing

Team healing

Split month

Kosovo?

Encouraging believers

Outline of a country (turned out to be Kosovo)

Kosovo

And I am sure a few other things I have forgotten. So we started to look at everything and realized that Kosovo was where we would start. Not knowing anything or any towns we just started searching for housing. We found a cute little cabin in a small mountain town in Boge near the Montenegro/Serbia border. It wasn’t until actually arriving there that we found out exactly how small of a town it is. The nearest grocery store (like a supermarket, not a convenient store) was an hour away.

The team was going to stay in Skopje for an extra day but then our housing fell through for that night. Our squad leader who prayed with us told us to just leave that day instead of trying to stay and extra night and pray along the way for the Lord to guide us. So we woke up the next morning and walked to the bus station. Got our tickets and left. Arrived in Pristina, the capital city of Kosovo, and were able to get sim cards, and atm’s and bus tickets for our next leg of the trip. The Lord provided us with a nice guy from N.H. that gave us money for the restroom. Found a nice taxi driver who took Sylvia and Becca (our treasurer and team leader) into town and helped activate the sim cards for us. Then headed out to the next leg of our trip. We got to Peja and this nice woman on the bus helped us negotiate taxi’s to take us the hour trip to Boge.

Once we got to Boge Sylvia and Becca went up the hill to figure out our housing. While they were there this nice lady and her husband beckoned us over to their porch to get out of the rain. It had started to sprinkle. They gave us Turkish coffee while we waited. Becca was able to figure out that the cabin we originally rented was already rented by a family. They were nice and helped Becca call the owner and try to figure something out. However, we weren’t able to find a reasonably priced place. Luckily, the family that let us in out of the rain helped us find a cute little cabin.

We stayed in Boge for about 10 days. One day there was a guy who walked up to Paige and asked her questions. He then gave us a contact in Peja who we connected with and that started the second leg of our trip. Read my next blog to find out more information on what happened next.

Thanks to you all, I am FULLY FUNDED! Your support has been phenomenal and I would not be having these experiences without YOU! However, there are still plenty of opportunities and need to help support me with misc. personal living expenses and funds for me to use to bless the ministries and people I’m working with. The race has proven to require more personal funds than I had intended for ministry wardrobe purchases, equipment, food, and in being able to bless others. Pray about how and if the Lord would have you partner with me in this way! If you are interested in helping me with this, send me a message or you can donate through https://www.paypal.me/Janetheismann.

Want to communicate with me while I’m on the race? Do so through hitting Let’s Chat on this blog, commenting on my posts, through facebook, and email. Know that I may not have daily access to wifi, but I will get back to you when I do!
