So as some of you know, I have been in Kathmandu, Nepal this month.
It’s all squad month so all forty-four of us are living in a four story house.
Community living at it’s finest.
I feel like we’re in that Cheaper by the Dozen movie but way more intense.
We’re surrounded by the Himalayan foothills which according to the Nepali people they are just that, hills, not mountains. Coming from flatland in Texas though these “hills” are stinking huge mountains!
But any who, earlier this month I had the opportunity to sleep on a hammock on our terrace under a full moon.
Now, if you know me, you know that I’m obsessed with the moon.
No matter the phase that it’s in, I am totally overcome and captivated by it.
I’m so in love with it that I got it tattooed on my finger.
Any time I can see the moon I can’t help but gasp and let everyone know of how beautiful the moon looks in that moment.
When I first went to sleep on the terrace the moon was behind me and behind a building but when the Lord woke me up at four a.m. the moon was right in front of me and looking damn good.
The feelings in my heart were indescribable.
I think that is the way the Lord looks at me.
He looks at me and is captivated and overcome by me.
He is in love with me no matter what phase of my life I’m in.
What a bizarre truth.
Even when my insides are ugly and I feel like anyone would completely judge me and write me off for what’s going on inside Jesus still thinks that I’m pure and beautiful.
He knows every single bit of me without me having to tell Him.
He knows things that I don’t even know about.
And even knowing every bit He still desires me and wants to use me in wonderful ways on this earth.
Bizarre.
Even if the Lord brought me across the world for one month just to reveal that to me I would be satisfied.
BUT there’s still more.
There is still so much more.
Nine more months of encounters with Him, and His creation.
Haha oh my.
