It’s been 2 ½ months since I’ve moved to California… the longest I have lived in one
place in 2 years! It’s been one of the
hardest and most beautiful seasons of my life, and I couldn’t have chosen a
better place to plant for the year!
I’ve had many thoughts about returning to full time ministry
and making my mark on the world. The nations still beckon me, and my passion
for seeing people freed from all forms of slavery increases with time. Yet, after
this past year of not living in community and traveling as a solo nomad, I knew
that I was living from a place of ‘just enough’, and God was inviting me into
an inheritance of ‘more than enough’. I knew that I needed a season to learn
how to live in God’s overflowing goodness and rest, a season to go deeper into his heart, and I needed to do it with
a family/community.
Another huge reason for coming to Bethel was a last ditch
effort to get healing.
Many of you don’t know my testimony, and I won’t launch into
it now, but I’ve walked a long journey of physical illnesses and emotional
wounds. God is incredible, and he has freed, healed, and restored so much of my
past! Yet, it’s been a long, dark road
full of struggle, pain, hopelessness, and countless doctors. This summer, I have
felt the Lord saying it’s time to walk in the fullness of ALL He has, which
includes good health. I’ve already learned so much of His heart for me and
others (specifically through healing) just by being here at Bethel and going to the healing rooms every
Saturday. Just recently, my diseased kidney was HEALED in an instant after
prayer! Praise God for that! I haven’t had any pain or problems since
then! It makes my heart come alive and
my love grow even more for Jesus! I have so much hope and joy and thankfulness
for the coming full restoration and physical healing! Everyday I feel better
and better!
There is so much promise for this next year that I can’t even handle it!
Bethel’s School of
Supernatural Ministry takes each student on a journey of walking in the
fullness of the gospel and releasing the kingdom of God
on earth now- healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, and
making disciples of all people everywhere. They live by whatever is in heaven,
we have access to now. The school also acts
as a training ground for leaders and believers to go out into the world and
become world changers through the message of Jesus!
God is becoming more real to me everyday through my friends here
(who have become family), and by Bethel
Church…and I haven’t
even started school yet!!
While I long for the nations, I am so thankful and excited
to dive deeper into the heart of God. To
know him and his love for us to a greater measure is my biggest desire. The
more I know my Jesus- his character, his heart, etc.- the more I am able to be
a better representative of the kingdom, and the more his glory and love can be
released through me to the people around me. And the freer I get, the more
authority I have to release that same freedom into others. It’s such a
beautiful process!
I am SO excited to start school in just a few short
days!
