First, I feel like I owe an apology to all my faithful readers. I have definitely been M.I.A. this past month, and for that I am sorry. There has been so much to process and prepare for the coming year! So now that I’m back…I have a ton I want to share with you guys!
TRAINING CAMP
Do you ever have those moments where you feel like heaven is so near..like everything in time stops and all that’s real is the very breath of God? That’s what training camp for the World Race felt like to me. I stepped out of my world and into the very tangible resting place of the Lord. I walked in full of expectations and walked out completely undone and made even more new by God’s overwhelming love for me. You see, I was full of expectations. I had expectations of my team, my adventures, my ministry, even what I expected God to do in my own heart. Little did I know, God had his own expectations awaiting me. The first night, we agreed to lay down our expectations and instead have expectancy of encountering God. When I laid down everything I was holding on to, it allowed God to move freely in my heart, mind, and soul. That week at training camp, I felt alive! I felt loved! Everyday! The presence of God is addicting! Once you get in it…play around and rest in it..you never want to leave it! It’s in his presence that the freedom, the love, and the acceptance comes. In his presence there is healing and fullness. The more I surrender to Him and just abide in him, the more he moves in my life. I learned so much about the role I play in the Kingdom and in God’s story. We each have a voice. We each have a testimony, and through these are the keys to releasing the Kingdom on earth. I am finding my voice, and I am realizing even more that I was made for this. I was made to go and release the kingdom to all nations. I was made to love and be loved…to know and be known by the Creator. And I was made to show the world God’s glory. In the words of United Pursuit, it’s going to be wild! It’s going to be great! And it’s going to be full of you (Jesus)!

TRAVEL:
I will leave Birmingham September 2nd to attend The Call- Sacramento. Don’t know what that is? Check it out at www.thecall.org! It’s awesome!
From the Call, I will travel with a crew from Sacramento up to Redding, California to hang out with Bethel ministry students. I’ll take a few day trips to sight-see, then I’ll head to L.A. to meet up with other racers and fly to the Philippines on the 11th.

What does this mean? This means I am HALFWAY FUNDED!!!!!! Praise God!! I only need $7,100!! I have one more fundraiser before I leave, so pray that the vision of this year would be cast and understood! Also, I would love to be fully funded before I leave!
