We passed out flowers in the Red Light District of Thailand. I took some time of solitude in the morning. Here’s what I wrote:
What does Heaven look like to you?
The background is blurry. I can’t make out if there’s trees, if there’s pillars, if there’s beaches or mountains or gold roads. My focus is on the figure before me.
He knows every part of me. He knows every sin, every struggle, every thought. He fully knows me. He looks me in the eyes, face to face, with absolute, undeniable love. To fully know me, to fully see me, and to still love me. That look. That look is heaven. To be fully known and to be fully seen with love in His eyes. It is overwhelming.
I want to see people with that same love. I want to look people in the eyes and have them feel like they are looking into Jesus’ eyes. I want that for all the woman we will hand flowers to. I want them to be fully aware that I am fully aware of their life and where they are and what they’re doing and the bed they’ll end up in and I am still seeing them with eyes of absolute, unconditional love. I want them to feel Heaven’s presence, even in the red light district, especially in the red light district, exactly where they are.
I made a short vlog inspired by this.
