I had meant to send a ministry update to my local church community. Instead, it became a thank you note. The work I’m doing for the Lord is not more important than the work they are doing. And I just wanted to stress that.
There are people sitting in those church pews every Sunday who I’ve served alongside. The fact that they continue to listen to God calling them to stay is as genuine an act of faithfulness as when I listened to God calling me to go.
Whether God calls us to cross oceans or cross streets, wherever God calls us to carry our cross, let’s listen and let’s go.
