Y’all! We are so excited that we only have 99 days until our Training Camp begins! We are truly overwhelmed with joy, excitement, gratitude, and sometimes nervousness. We can’t believe that we are only $165 away from meeting our first goal of $10,000 by the end of February (aka today).
But back to Training Camp… We are trying to go into it without too many assumptions or with too many expectations because we know that things are always changing and that everyone has different experiences. However, we thought it would be fun to share some info and give y’all a couple of links to previous racers’ takes on Training Camp so that y’all can be excited with us. We’ll make sure to do our very own recap when we get back from Training Camp to share our own time there.
Training Camp Info:
-June 7-17 (Side Note: we are thrilled to go up to Adventure In Mission’s headquarters a day early (June 6) for a very special Storryteller workshop where we will be able to work on our skills in writing, photography, and videography in preparation for better communicating with you while we’re on the field.)
-This will be the first time we meet our entire squad face-to-face!
-We will be assigned our teams for the first ~4 months of our trip.
-Take a hike! 3 miles, with all of our gear, in under 50 minutes. Speaking of gear, we still have some things we will need by June, and others that we need by August. If you’re interested in helping out with some of it, check out our Amazon wishlist.
-Man Hike: All of the men will take an ~12-15 mile overnight hike in the mountains and spend time bonding as well as digging deeper into being the man God has called them each to be. (This also equals a Girl’s Night!)

We’re excited about Training Camp, but that also brings a sense of reality that we will be launching soon! Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to prepare financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually for this trip.
